Angels in Devil's Garden

This past weekend we took a camping trip to Moab and Arches National Park. We had a wonderful time even though it rained a little bit. Our original campsite was very small and so it was decided that we would move to a better place north of Moab off a dirt road on BLM land. It was a great campsite. A nasty rain storm came through and tossed our stuff around. Our tent had puddles in it and some of our things got wet. We decided that it would be best to go home early because we didn't want to expose our girls to a night of sleeping in wet sleeping bags. Fortunately, the weather cleared up and our things dried out. We were able to do a hike at Fisher Towers outside Moab and some hikes in Arches National Park. Maya did all of the hikes all by herself as long as she could pretend to be the lead dog. There's a section of Arches called Devil's Garden at the north end of the park. We did a hike to Landscape Arch and when we arrived at the arch, a scruffy, backwoods-looking man saw our girls and said, "three little angels in Devil's Garden." It was unexpected to hear such a statement from a somewhat scary looking man. Our girls really were angels on this trip. We had fun and look forward to the next camping trip.
