Goblin Valley

This last weekend my brother Dan invited us to go to Goblin Valley with his family. My parents also tagged along. We had a great time. The weather was great, although a little windy.
On the way down we took a dirt road through the San Rafael Swell. It was really pretty. We stopped to look at some Native American pictoglyphs along the way. They were really cool.

There was also a really cool suspension bridge that just screamed "Kodak moment"
We played in the goblins. All the kids loved it.

We also went on a hike through a slot canyon. There was a lot of scrambling and lifting and lowering kids. We got to the top of the canyon and decided that the last obstacle was a little too dangerous for the kids so we turned around and went back down the way we came. Good thing Dan and my Dad were there because they did most of the lifting and lowering. Sophie got tired so she ended up on my shoulders.
Part of the slot canyon. My pictures won't cooperate so maybe when I get things working, I'll post some more.
My Dad was nice enough to share the load of carrying Sophie.

Before we left Sunday we played around at the Valley of Goblins again.

Fun! Love that blue sky with the red rock. If you were wearing jackets, it must have been nice and cool! Perfect time to visit Goblin V.
