June

June was a busy month for us.  School got out the first week of June.  We had a great school year, but were ready for summer.  On June 9, Maya turned 12.  I can not believe i have a young woman.  She had a great birthday.  She got a bike from Macha and Papa and has been riding it all summer.  She had a small party with 2 friends.  They just crafted and hung out.
The first week of summer, Ellie had dance and art camp.  She loved it. She would dance first, and then have art lessons.  She learned a really fun dance and learned some cool art techniques.  She loves dance and wanted the camp to last longer.  In the middle of June, Maya went to girls camp. I was a little nervous about sending her because she was the only 1st year camper in our ward, but she had a great time.  Kyle went up for a night as the priesthood leader, so that was fun for them both.  The other unusual part about camp is that my parents are in our stake and my mom is her ward's camp director.  Since is was Stake camp this year my mom and Maya were both there together.  My mom took the first years on their hike, so it was fun for Maya to be able to spend time with her.  While Maya was a girls camp, Sophie got to go to rock climbing camp for the week.  She really loved it got the bravery award one year.  I think next year we will try to get all the kids into rock climbing camp.
My mom's birthday was on June 28, so that morning Liam and I took her climbing.  It was fun.  Liam is a great climber.  In fact, he was so fast that my mom couldn't keep up with him belaying.
Liam also graduated from preschool.  My baby is now a Kindergartener.  We loved preschool and were so grateful for a teacher willing to work with Liam's diabetes.
