Yesterday Maya attended a language fair at BYU.  Alta took groups from several languages, and Maya went with the Spanish group.  There was a competition as well as a mock town where English was not allowed to be spoken.  Maya took a reading test and scored a superior (the highest score they give) and her group took 2nd place overall.  She didn't want to go originally, but her teacher talked her into it and I'm so glad she went because she did so well, especially since she is only in Spanish 2.

Last week Ellie won the Principals award again.  This is her 3rd time this year.  Part of it is that she is a bit of a teachers pet and the other part is that she is kind of a math whiz.  She has done so well this year and we are very proud of her.
