mini golf

Saturday we went miniature golfing as a family. We had a lot of fun, but were not very good. Maya swung wildly and would take about 20 swings before getting the ball in the hole. Sophia tried really hard, and actually did quite well. Ellie did well by picking up her ball and placing it right next to the hole and then hitting it in. Liam hung out in the stroller and cried for the last 5 or 6 holes.

Friday my mom and I took all 4 kids hiking up Big Cottonwood Canyon. We had a really good time and hiked about 2 miles round trip. Even Ellie hiked most of the way. My mom, Maya, and Ellie took a wrong turn and got a little lost. They found a deer trail that took them back to the trail. Maya led the way on the deer trail, pushing her way through trees, over logs and rocks. My mom was amazed at how well she did. Ellie and I got bitten by tons of mosquitos. Our legs and arms are covered. The others didn't get a single bite. Ellie and I have been miserable. We are hoping they won't itch as much tomorrow. We both look like we have some kind of disease.
