Last Friday was Sophie's 6th Birthday. I can't believe she is so old, she still looks so tiny to me. We had a puppy party for her. It was a lot of fun because she got to see some of her friends from school that she hasn't seen all summer. The girls got to adopt a stuffed dog and decorate a bag for their dog. They also got to make bone shaped shrinky dink tags for themselves and their dogs. After that they had a treasure hunt and then broke the traditional pinata. This year Sophie wanted a chihuahua so I gave it my best effort. For her cake she chose mini strawberry bundt cakes that were delicious.
All the girls at the party. It was a lot of fun to see Sophie interact with her friends because she is usually so shy.
That night we had my brother and his family and my mom over for a dinner of taquitos and cake. She opened more fun presents including her favorite the Lion King 2. She got so spoiled with presents even though Kyle and I only got her a movie and shirt. Her friend and family were all very generous and she loved everything she got.
After the family party Kyle took her with my brother, Janet, Brad and Seth to a REAL soccer game. She really liked it because she got to drink some roo tbeer and eat kettle corn. I think she had a really good birthday. The sad part of the day was that my mom had to put her dog Bella down. The kids really miss her, especially Liam. Yesterday my mom babysat the kids and Liam kept going to all the doors looking for Bella. Bella was his very first word and we will all miss her very much.
