After Easter morning activities we drove down to Capitol Reef National Park for some spring break fun. We stayed 2 nights in our huge tent and had a wonderful time together. We did 3 different hikes and got to see some beautiful places and things. The campground in the park was very nice, surrounded by orchards and old pioneer buildings. There was even a small store where we purchased ice cream and cinnamon rolls. Although the wind was very gusty at times and the mornings were cold, we couldn't have asked for a better camping experience. The kids were wonderful and are asking when we get to go camping again.
Some deer strolled through the campground Sunday afternoon.
The beautiful red rock illuminated by the setting sun.
Proof that Kyle does sometimes cook.
Hickman Natural Bridge.
We saw some desert bighorn sheep in the Grand Wash.
Hiking into Capitol Gorge.
