New Year's

For New Years this year we went to Bear Lake to work on the cabin.  My parents and Aunt Nancy and Jon were also there.  We stayed in a hotel, but spent most of the time at the cabin.  The kids had a great time sledding and playing in the snow.  On New Year's Eve my Dad set of fireworks.  They were pretty awesome, even if we did freeze watching them.
We forgot our sleds, so at first the kids were using an air mattress to sled on. Later I went to the gas station and they had some sleds so I picked 2 up.  Sledding was much better after that.

A picture of the lake from the deck of the cabin.
The sledding hill was pretty awesome.  It was right next to the cabin and curved onto the driveway.  I can see years of sledding fun in our future.

The morning before we left my Dad and Kyle spent some time grooming the sled track and creating banks so the kids wouldn't run into anything.  The track had frozen over night and was much faster.
The gang going out for pizza New Year's Eve.
We stayed 2 nights and it was the first time we have ever done anything for New Year's.  Hopefully next year we can go again.
