End of Summer

Right before school started we went back up to Bear Lake for the eclipse.  It wasn't a full eclipse, but it was still really cool.  We went swimming Sunday night when we got up there.  The pool wasn't crowded, so it was really nice.  Liam is really going to miss swimming when it gets cold.

Jake the dog went to the cabin with us and the kids loved hanging out with him.

With our glasses, waiting for the eclipse.
The first day of school for the middle schoolers.  Maya is in 8th grade, and Sophie in 6th.  This year they are taking the bus because they are attending in a different building while their school gets remodeled.
First day of school for the elementary kids.  Liam is in 1st with Mrs. Paul and Ellie is in 3rd with Ms. Oldroyd.  So far the kids love their teachers and classes, I have had a struggle with Liam's teacher and getting her to follow our diabetes plan instead of the one she has used in the past.  Fortunately the office ladies know how I want things done and make sure they happen the way I want them to happen.  It's been a little stressful having Liam at school all day, but we're starting to adjust.
Ellie with her best friend from the neighborhood.  Lucy is in 2nd grade, but they love to play together after school.
We got some tickets to a REAL soccer game and Kyle, Liam, and I went.  We had a lot of fun and it was a great game.
On August 24, we celebrated Liam's 2 year diaversary.  Some days it seems like he was diagnosed yesterday and other days it feels like we've been doing this forever.
