The end of May was pretty busy for us. We had lots going on with school, and lots of preparations for summer. We got to watch Jake for a week while my parents traveled. He would go everywhere with me. He loved to run errands, but most of all he loved to take the kids to school and pick them up.
For some reason one day Jake decided he just had to sit on Sophie's lap. There was plenty of room in the back, but I guess he just wanted to be up front. For memorial weekend we went up to the cabin. It was pretty cold, but we had a great time. In the Spring my dad installed this giant swing that swings you out over the hillside. It follows my Dad's motto of "go big or go home". It is super fun, even for the adults.
We went on a hike in Logan Canyon to the Wind Caves. Its a fairly steep hike, but really pretty. It was cool and rained/hailed on us, but we really enjoyed ourselves. It was so green with lots of wildflowers.
Eating lunch in the caves.
The view from the caves.
Ellie dancing in the caves.
We went mini golfing one morning,
Ellie and Liam even braved the cold and went swimming. It was only about 65 degrees and they still swam. The sunset one night.
Sophie went to the dentist and had no cavities.
We've had a huge influx of butterflies this spring. I read it's due to all the moisture. It has been so cool to see so many butterflies.
May ended and so did school. We are so glad school is done for the summer. It was a rough May for us, but all the kids finished off the school year with amazing grades. They are such hard workers and it showed.
