Ellie and Halloween

Last week this beautiful girl turned 11.  She is such an amazing kid.  She is smart, hard working, kind, thoughtful, moody, pretty, friendly, and a little crazy.
Liam had a book report at school where they had to decorate a pumpkin to go with the book.  They then invited the first grade and parents to come see their pumpkins and listen to them read the book. This is Liam's project. (It was pajama day at school )
Ellie's family birthday dinner.  She asked Papa to make brisket and she asked me to make re velvet cupcakes.  She also had a small party with 3 friends.  I took them to get ice cream, but forgot to take any pictures.
Liam in the Halloween parade at school. He is a Star Wars  storm trooper commander.
Ellie at school.  She is a hamster.
The 3 trick or treaters.  Maya stayed home and did homework.
Ellie's friend Sophie came trick or treating with them.  Allie and her dog Deg took the kids trick or treating so Kyle and I stayed home and passed out candy to the 5 groups that came to our  door.  It was incredibly cold this year so that kept a lot of kids in doors.
The Saturday after Halloween Dan and his family invited us to go to  a Day of the Dead Celebration.  Kyle, Sophie, Liam and I went while Maya and Ellie stayed home and rested (they are super busy in the week and need Saturday to just rest).  It was  a lot of fun.  The kids decorated sugar skulls.
Liam and Sophie got their faces painted.
There was a display of art and alters to the dead that was really cool.  We liked this colorful bird.
