Thanksgiving

Right before Thanksgiving Ellie graduated from the NOVA program at school.  NOVA is a program where a police officer comes in and teaches them some life skills.  As part of the program They have to write a constitution and spend one week off of media.  It's a great program and Ellie had a lot of fun doing it.

It snowed right before Thanksgiving and Jimi loves to watch the snow fall.
The Tuesday before Thanksgiving we packed up the car and headed to the cabin.  We left Tuesday after school to beat the snow storm.  It snowed for 4 days and we had a great time going on walks, sledding, eating, playing games and watching movies.  It was so nice to have some quality family time and have  Kyle with us for 5 days.
My parents also came and every day I took Jake on a snowy walk.  Jake loves the snow and can be off leash so he was in doggy heaven.
Ellie and Liam went sledding quite a bit.  We love being able to sled right at the cabin because it means they can go whenever they want to.

We had a great Thanksgiving meal.  We kept things simple, but delicious.
All the adults pitched in and helped cook.  Ellie also helped.  She loves to be in the kitchen cooking.
My Dad carved the turkey and made a giant squash with stuffing inside.

More sledding.

Maya petting Aunt Nancy's ceramic cat the kids have named creepy.  This is one of the few pictures I have of Maya smiling because she had no idea I was taking the picture.
The first weekend of December we had our ward Christmas party and they asked the bishopric to dress up and the 3 wise men.  Fortunately my mom had enough costumes to outfit all 3.  These were all clothes my Grandpa Bob had from his time in Egypt and Pakistan.
