Not much going on around here. We are just trudging along with school and work and such. Here are a couple of things that happened this month.
Liam finished up with Jr. Jazz. He really improved this year. He really liked his team and had a great season.
I got to go with Liam and his class to the symphony. It is nice to be able to do field trips again this year.
We always get the kids a little gift for Valentines Day. This year we got Liam a shark pillow and the whole family loves it. It is soft and squishy. Sophie decided to hold it like a baby.
Maya has been making sleeping mats for a service project for National Honor Society. They are crochet out of yarn made from plastic shopping bags. She is one of the few students who knows how to crochet so other kids make the plarn (pastic yarn) and she makes the mats. The mats are given to the homeless to sleep on to help protect them from moisture and cold.
Maya has been involved in Special Needs Mutual (now special needs activity program) since August 2020. She loves it and comes home happy each time she is able to go to an activity. Our ward was asked to help with their Valentines Dance this year. It is like prom. Everyone dresses and some of the girls even brought dates. It is such a great experience for the kids.
There was a photo wall and this is Ellie and her friend Lucy having fun.
This is Maya's buddy Ann. Maya loves hanging out with Ann each week.
Ann really loves to color, so Maya and Sophie spent most of the night in the quiet room coloring. Maya really likes that Ann prefers to be in the quiet room at the bigger activities. Ann doesn't like the noise and crowds and neither does Maya.
