Graduation

Maya graduated from High School this year. We were so excited for her.  She had a great high school career,  but she was so happy to be done.

Grandma Vocana made Maya this quilt for graduation.  It is full of books and has her favorite books written on the spines of some of the books.

This is Maya with Jett, a neighbor of ours.  They've known eachother since they were 18 months old.  They aren't exactly friends,  Jett like to tease Maya too much,  but they do know each other well.
The whole family went to graduation.  Liam is in the picture,  we just didn't realize he was hidden.
Sisters.  These 3 are such good friends.  It's going to be really hard when Maya leaves for college.

Grandma and Grandpa Vocana came for graduation.  We were so happy that they were able to make it.  My Dad also came,  we just don't have a picture of him.

Maya got lots of honors and chords.  She was in the National Honors Society,  she received the advanced diploma,  she was on high honor roll, she received English honors,  she is a CTEC graduate,  and received technology honors.
The night before graduation Maya decided she wanted a new dress.  We went to 4 stores,  but we're able to find her a dress she likes.
Maya also graduated from seminary.
We had a crazy couple of weeks before graduation.  Kyle and Sophie got COVID. We were really worried that the rest of the family would get it and not be able to go to graduation.  The day of graduation everyone tested negative and were through their isolation period so we all were able to go.  We felt very lucky that only Kyle and Sophie got it and that they weren't very sick.

Way to go on all those honors and cords! Whoo!! Love the quilt and your cute family. Definitely a blessing you were all able to go. Covid timing is the worst!
