Camping
Last weekend we went camping in Great Basin National Park in Nevada. We went with my parents and brother Dan and his family. We rented a tent trailer because it was very cold. We had a lot of fun. There were pine nuts everywhere and Maya spent the entire weekend collecting them. We have two ziploc bags full of them. We went hiking to see some Bristlecone pines. They were very cool looking. Saturday afternoon my aunt Sue, her husband, my cousin Tia and her family and my other two cousins Heather and Jason came. Sue is a ranger at the park so she took us on a tour of Lehman Cave. It was really fun. The girls did great and loved the cave. A big thanks to my Dad who did all of the organizing and cooking. It was really good and so nice not to have to do any of that. Despite the cold weather and snow Sunday morning, it was a great trip.

The kids got to try on Ranger hats. They all looked so cute.

Ellie is so big already! Can't wait to see her at Christmas. Way to go Kyle for carrying Sophie. She has really grown up too. That couldn't have been a light pack!
So, were the pinenuts edible? You can use those in your pesto pasta salad, eh?
Looks like such a fun trip. I envy your cold weather. Think of that next time you are cold.
My favorite picture is you and your cute mom. I loved that Elli is poking her little head to the side and grinning with you guys.
Thanks for inviting us; we had a great time and got some awesome pictures. My boys are still wearing their cave cadet pins.
