Last Friday, Ellie and I flew to Portland to see Grandma and Grandpa Vocana. We had a very good time and Grandma gave a little Strawberry Shortcake pre-birthday party for Ellie. Ellie loved romping around the house. She was a very good girl, except she was a little hard to control on the plane. Snacks (for her) kept it bearable for me. My brother Brian and his son Jaxon came and we went to a Collective Soul concert in Portland. The concert was excellent. My parents were nice enough to take care of Ellie while we were gone. I also got to catch up with some old friends from "back home." It was a very good trip and Ellie loved being around her grandparents. It's nice to be home and we look forward to the next time we can see Grandma and Grandpa again.
