For fall break we went to Oregon to visit Kyle's parents. It had been a long time since we had been, so it was nice to go.
For years Ellie has wanted to go to St. Helen's around Halloween to visit Halloweentown. Every Halloween we watch the movies, and it was filmed close to where Kyle's parents live. The town recreates some of the sets and makes a big festival of it. It was crazy busy so the kids and I walked around quickly and got some pictures while Kyle drove around until we were ready to be picked up.
There was a huge line to take a picture in front of the giant pumpkin that was at the center of the movie. This was the best we could do without waiting in line.

They had some decorated old cars.
That night we went and did baptisms at the temple.
The day before we left we went to the beach.
Liam loves whales so we went to whale park .
We drove up to Astoria and across the bridge to Long Beach so the kids could say they also went to Washington.
On top of the Astoria Column. Liam is terrified of heights so he didn't go up with us.
It was a really great trip and nice to get away.
