The first week of August Scott and family came to visit on their way moving from Germany to Massachusetts. It was so great to spend the whole week with them. It had been 3 years since the whole family and been here.
Monday we just hung out and let the kids play. They had a great time.
Tuesday we went to see Allie's house and do the touristy Temple Square.
Allie did not know that she could get so many kids on the couch.
The flowers at Temple Square were beautiful. One of the rare photo's of Allie. Sophie and Ellie stuck to her like glue.
Wednesday and Thursday were Bear Lake days. It was cold, but still a lot of fun. Cora really liked Sophie.
Both days we made huge castles.
Playing games one night. My Dad couldn't read the cards so he found some broken glasses of my mom's. Its a really bad picture, but I thought he looked really funny.
Friday we went to the Uinta's and let the kids climb, Liam tried it and did ok, but he got scared.
Ellie did a great job. She went right up to the top with no problems.
Claire trying on her brother's hiking boots.
The kids also repelled. Ellie was the only one of my kids that repelled, and she loved it. Most of the kids went several times.
Papa Time brought his fishing pole and let the kids give fishing a try. No one caught anything though. Timmy, Sophie and Papa just hanging out.
Scott was the only adult who climbed, the rest of us just repelled.
On Sunday Dan made an amazing German dinner of Rouloden, Rotkohl, cucumber salad, and German chocolate cake. (Sorry you German speakers, I don't know how to spell)
It was so great to spend the week with everyone. We had such a great time and got to know Scott's family better.
