Dance Recital

This years dance recital was very different from past years.  first of all the dances weren't as polished as usual because of all the missed classes due to COVID.  Second, they performed the dances in front of  a very small audience.  Each class performed individually with only parents watching.  The dances were recorded and will be put into one large virtual recital. Girls were not required to perform, so some classes ended up being very small. 2 of Ellie's classes only had 3 girls.  I am so glad they were able to perform, even though it was under less than ideal circumstances. This years theme was famous dances.
Sophie took Jazz and has decided that this was her last year.  They performed Can't Stop the Beat from Hairspray.
Ellie's modern dance was inspired by the choreographer Fritz.
Ellie's Jazz dance was inspired by Charlie Chaplin.
Ellie's ballet was from the ballet Gaite Pariseiene.

The school they performed at had a picture of Charlie Chaplin at the entrance.  Masks were required except for those who were currently on stage.

Ellie and her best friend were lucky enough to have their dances back to back to they were able to watch each others dances.

Ellie and Sophie danced back to back so that was really nice for us.
