Wednesday, October 2 saw us leave Germany early so we could drive to Bruges, Belgium. Bruges is a beautiful city of around 20,000 people but it gets around 3 million visitors per year. It was a little crowded but still very nice.
This is the main cathedral that has a sculpture by Michelangelo in it. It was closed so we were not able to see it.
Robby and Maya resting on a small bridge over one of the canals.
Another cathedral.
Took some pictures of flowers while waiting for the boat ride.
Views from the boat on the canals.
The main square.

We had a wonderful time here. We enjoyed the sights and even got to enjoy Belgium waffles with chocolate sauce and ice cream. It was a fairly long day with a lot of driving but it was well worth it.
